I had a good weekend of running and was planning to get out for an easy 6 or so this morning, but I woke up with a headache. Not enough water I am guessing. Now as I sit here waiting for the kids to go to school so I can leave for work I feel a sense of anxiety or disappointment as I didn’t get out and run. Its like I told myself last night, I can have 2 runs in a day if I don’t get out early and get the first one in. Hopefully there will be time this evening to get at least 3-4 miles in despite it going over 100 degrees today.
I am a guy who loves to run marathons, and has been gifted with exceptionally slow genes which makes for mid pack finishes in races. If I don't run I become an unbalanced manic fool, so yes...running is my prozac. I believe that the key to a happy productive life is balance. Balance in all areas of your life. If one area is out of balance, all others go out of balance. Come back often as I love to see the hit counter go up!!! View all posts by runfaraz
